We decided to do a outdoor Mickey Mouse themed photo session for our client since his party theme is Mickey Mouse! This is our very first time doing this theme in the original colors, we usually would do Mickey Safari since our sessions are outdoors 99% of the time.
I looked online for an outfit that I didn’t see many kids wearing for their Mickey Mouse Photoshoot and found this cute Mickey Mouse overall with a matching hat on Amazon, too cute!! 😍

The props were all from Amazon and the seat was thrifted and spray painted red for this session.
We had fun although the weather was crazy!! It’s not that often that we bring our backdrop stand outside but the day we choose to it was so windy!! Even with the wind having props flying all over the place the images came out so good! This is the epitome of a session with images that don’t look anything like the actual experience.

When Shantel contacted us she had already booked her venue and needed to secure her photographer but we weren’t available! Thankfully they moved their session date to what worked for us and we killed it! 🥰
Shantel & Steven got engaged at the church he went to school in as a little boy and I think that’s just too cute of a proposal story! They are a builder & healer couple! We had so much for during their session since Shantel is so funny and knows how to get Steven to smile & laugh!
I absolutely LOVED Shantels outfits for this shoot, very stylish and on point for the venue!! She looks so amazing! I absolutely love when you guys are detailed about location and attire. ✨

🦷Cia & Dwannta Duo Senior Portrait Session 🩺
Cia(pronounced Kia) contacted us for their senior portraits. These two have been best friends for some time now and I really could tell during the session! I absolutely loved how they hyped each other up and just support each other throughout the session! Even the colors of their coordinated outfits was just too cute! 🥰
We decided to use “CASA BLANCA” which is a house located near @morrowsnola ! This home produces a lot of white which make the clients colored outfit really stand out against it! We’ve been using this spot since they first started building it about fire years ago! The owners are super cool and even let us use the yard and rooftop sometimes! 🥰
The second slot was at Louis Armstrong Park. Louis Armstrong park is a public park that honored the great jazz artist, Louis Armstrong. There’s sculptures, a pond, beautiful greenery, and much more to use as backgrounds for amazing pictures. This park is always less packed than others like City Park and Audubon Park! This in turn makes Louis Armstrong great for an outdoor photoshoot! ✨

Cia & Dwannata contacted us for a duo senior portrait session and they absolutely killed it!! I decided to do a three part post with each girl, and then them together!✨
I absolutely LOVE Dwannata’s powdered blue blazer outfit that she wore to give her senior portraits an extra POP! They were both so open to using whatever locations we thought worked best so we went with “CASA BLANCA”. Casa Blanca is a house near @morrowsnola that we’ve been using as a backdrop for photoshoots for some time now. We love the amount of white the house has, it creates beautiful contrasting images! Plus the owners allow us to use the yard, etc! (Thanks again) 🥰

We have been working with @mainotmy since 2021 when we did their New Orleans CBD gender reveal. I remember Jamai and her husband popping their smoke bombs and being filled with joy finding out the twins were boys which is EXACTLY what she wanted! We were so excited for them, she was literally crying tears of joy! 🥰
A few months later we did their maternity photoshoot which came out amazing! Once the boys made one we did those too but it was crazy hot so we only captured crying! 🥲😂 Shorty after that we did their immediate family photos in city park which was also fun! I love getting to meet my clients family! 🥰❤️
Anyway lol… Jamai contacted us again for her first mommy and me Photoshoot and I was READY!! I really strive to post my clients who constantly come! Jamai gave me full creative control and here’s what we came up with. ✨
We decided to do the outdoor sheet backdrop photos including a purse, baby breaths, and an extra large hat! We got the draped linen from the thrift store! Please thrift your props to save money! 🙏🏽

Cohen is a little man, intelligent, curious, and so so cute!! This year we went withthe a Easter theme due to his birthday being on Easter this year! Holli(his mom) and I had a few themes and outfits to work with but the all blue featuring their pet bunny won this year!🐇🤍
As y’all know we scoot locations and props specifically for our clients so we used this blue background in a parking lot, a blue basket from @michaels and blue eggs from @tjmaxx to pull it all together! ✨

I met Zari in 2020 at one of my other clients Lindsey, senior portrait session and then she assisted again in 2022 for the same client’s session. We literally kept talking during the shoot and she insisted that I would be taking her photos soon but she just needed a reason and BOOM here we are!! ☺️

Just like last year Taylor + family coordinated their attire after picking their emerald and blue color pallet early on in the year. Everyone looks amazing and they are easily one of our favorite families to work with because of how much they are in sync with the brand and style of work.
The location is actually where we shot their maternity photos so everything truly went full circle this year!
The weather was so mixed on their photoshoot day but the photos still came out amazing. There were points where the sun was out, peaking through the clouds, fully covered, and drizzling...we worked through all of that in one session
When you book outdoors you have to be willing to work around nature. Thank y'all for the constant efforts during your session and of course for always booking with the best!

We absolutely love doing proposal Photoshoots and make them so easy for the couple! 🥰
We have a few options for the style of proposal you want to do with booking a “regular” photoshoot being the most popular option.
When you book a “regular” couples portrait session it allows for both parties to get themselves together and look their absolute best. Everyone knows most women want to look their absolute best especially on camera so by booking a photoshoot that isn’t a surprise she can get her hair, makeup, nails, eyebrows, and attire figured out. The surprise will be the actual proposal during the session! 😉
We approach the session like all of our couples sessions with an introduction and brining the couple around to follow the prompts/poses we’ve come up with. Only the person proposing will know which prompt is the signal to drop to one knee. Once they hear the prompt the rest is extremely candid! We will capture all of your moments from start to finish during the session! The best part is that after the proposal is done you basically get a mini engagement session wearing your new ring!🥰✨
Proposals are so cool to witness but even cooler to document! I really enjoy seeing the reactions from such an amazing surprise!! Not only are you witnessing the couples reaction together, but the people that are around clapping and cheering the newly engaged couple on! It’s truly a beautiful experience!! 🤗

Britten and Carleigh mommy and me session is just too cute!! Carleigh is so good in front of the camera, she has it going on for a two year old!! Every single pose that I showed her she copied it with a smile, LOVE IT! 🥰
We originally planned to do their session outside of Hotel Monteleone because of the holiday decor but the street is just so dark and not best for our style so we went with a magazine street photoshoot instead! @ilmercatonola and @krewe were the locations we used to document this session, they are across the street from each other! To my surprise I actually liked the one wreath look that @krewe had going on! I’m usually all about things being even and consistent on both sides but this was just so cute and cool! I placed Carleigh on the wreath side due to her height.

We have been working with these two for 4 years now and they always look so cute!! As usual we find the perfect attire and match up the locations with it! We are loving this velvet look! We went with a modern holiday mommy and me at @melrosemansion mixing multiple styles of photography into one session. 🔥
I especially love how we were able to capture a mom and son mommy and me with so much variety! Since Siah is getting older we incorporated more separated shots while still capturing the traditional mommy and me vibes.
Siah has grown up so much, he was able to pull off all of the poses. One of my favorite things was playing with capturing blurry photos, it’s a pretty cool trend that I like! Anyways…let me know what y’all think of these 🥰😍
